FAQs
Where are you located?
Physio4You is located inside Fit N Fab Fitness Studio in the Mount Cotton Central shopping complex at 101 Valley Way. On your arrival please use the Wellness services entrance between Chemist Warehouse and HiQi massage. There is plenty of parking available in the car park.
What happens at my first physiotherapy visit?
Your unhurried first visit will include a thorough assessment of your problem and the impact that it is having on you. From this assessment we will be able to determine:
- What is causing your pain and why
- How to reduce your pain or dysfunction
- How long it is likely to take to recover
- What steps you can take to prevent it from happening again in the future
Your physiotherapist will then provide you with an individualised treatment program including some manual therapy and hands-on treatment and an exercise program to complete at home.
How long does a physiotherapy session last?
Your first consultation and treatment will typically last around 45 minutes and any follow-up treatments 30 minutes.
What should I wear?
Ideally wear comfortable clothing that is not too restrictive and will allow easy movement of the problem area. Shorts or pants that can roll up easily would be preferable if your problem includes your knee or upper leg.
Do I need a doctors referral?
No, you do not need a referral to make an appointment, but if you have one please bring it along to your first appointment.
Does Medicare cover my treatment?
If you have a chronic heath condition you may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan. This allows up to 5 sessions per year with a Medicare rebate. If you hold a Health Care Card or Pension card you will be eligible for bulk billing. Please discuss with your GP if you think you are eligible and make sure to bring your Medicare card to your physiotherapy session.
Do you have HICAPS?
Yes, we have a digital version of HiCAPS which allows us to process the claim for some health funds, listed below. If you have a fund which is not listed you will have to pay for the session in full (EFTPOS or cash) and do the claim yourself.
In order to make this easier we can email you the invoice to upload directly to your claim or can print the invoice if preferred.
